What is the meeting in Agile methodology?
Meeting methodology comprises of people telling a bunch of stories. These stories are true and a reflection of past experiences. The goal of this meeting is to teach everyone lessons in life. For example, someone could tell the story of meeting a person he thought he could trust but he ended up having his phone stolen. The moral of this story is not trust a person you just met. Even if you need to do something urgently, you must never leave your valuables to that person even if she looks pretty kind. There are some things that look too good to be true. After all, your things mean a lot more than your new friendship with that person.
What are the steps of the meeting?
The first would be to clarify what the meeting is all about. Anyone can ask a question in case that person is not oriented on the meeting. The next step would be to review the roles of each person in the meeting. One could be reviewing what the meeting was all about and another could be leading the prayer. There is certainly a possibility that everyone has a role in the meeting. The next would be to reveal the agenda and work through every step of the way. Is the meeting there to introduce something new to the public? If that is the case, you must know the where, when, and how of the process. After all, something like that can’t happen out of the blue. The next step would be to review everything that happened at the meeting.
What are the three types of meetings?
Decision-making, status update, and information sharing are the types of meetings. From the word itself, you will be meeting with the top officials of the company in order to come up with a decision. This will play into doing what is best for business. There is the future of the company on the line so you need to explain your side if you want everyone to ride with your decision. Status update meetings will certainly not last long. They are there to just update everyone regarding the status of something important. Once everyone is updated, the next thing to do would be to figure out the next step. That won’t be easy as a lot of things need to be taken into consideration. The information-sharing meeting could be where everyone was assigned different things and this is where you share what you found out.
How do you design a meeting?
A lot of planning is required for the meeting to be successful. The first thing to do would be to set an objective for the meeting. Is it to set the company’s goals straight or to orient the new people? The materials for the meeting must also be prepared in advance. Do they need a projector? Perhaps, a whiteboard and a market? It all depends on the person in charge of setting up the meeting.
